REMEMBERING GEORGE W. BUSH . . .
I remember Lt. Bush in Alabama making his drills with our unit. He was told to sign in and sign out in my office. Lt/Col Turnipseed brought him to my office and introduced us. He told him to report there each drill. Lt. Bush was very professional. His flight suit was neat and he was always very "military" (in bearing). He would stay in my office most of the time, but after I introduced him to Lt. Col. Cyr, he would sometimes go down the hall to his office. <READ MORE>

Basic-Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo, TX, North American B-25
Strategic Air Command: Dyess AFB Combat Crew B-47 Bomber Part of the Triad defense system of the cold war. Honorable Discharge 1961.

FEELINGS ABOUT THE NATIONAL GUARD:
Men who rose up and defended Freedom no matter what the cost founded this country. The first defenders to take up arms were the Minutemen who were people from all walks of life who picked up their guns and went to fight. This spirit persists today in the form of the National Guard. <READ MORE>
