REMEMBERING GEORGE W. BUSH . . .
I flew with Lt George W. Bush on numerous occasions on operational and training missions from Ellington, annual missile firing deployment missions at Tyndall AFB, Florida and NORAD wartime deployment training exercise in Canada. George was rock solid as a wingman and smooth and capable and competent as a flight lead. I’ve had his wingtip on my chin at 400 knots at night and in weather. We flew the airplane at its operational limits at high speed and under high g conditions and there was no room for mistakes or errors in judgment.
