"FOR GOD AND COUNTRY" ARTIST PROOF
unframed/unmatted

This powerful Gil Cohen scene, set on June 5, 1944, depicts Lt. Dick Winters and the Band of Brothers of Easy Company as they receive a last minute blessing from Father John Maloney before boarding their C-47s for D-Day. This would be the last night the company was all together.

While the 150 Artist Proof prints sold out in 2013, we are excited to finally have one available for resale, and in mint condition. The print is signed by Gil Cohen and includes the autographs of 13 D-Day veterans!

On a separate signature card, perfect to frame under the print, is Band of Brothers legend "Wild Bill" Guarnere, who is shown kneeling in the scene.

Signing on the print are Band of Brothers paratroopers Buck Compton and Brad Freeman (both shown in the scene), Earl McClung, Phil Perugini, Rod Strohl and Ed Tipper.

Joining them are 101st paratroopers Bob Noody & Chris McEwan (Silver Star), D-Day C-47 pilots Ben Kendig (would later drop Gen. Gavin), Bud Berry (Bud's squadron is shown) and Fred Trenck.

And the last signer is P-47 pilot George Lichter who flew on D-Day and later helped found the Israeli Air Force.

While the print is sold unframed/unmatted, it includes a .30 caliber casing recovered in Normandy, two photos from the eve of D-Day (one shows signer Bob Noody), 101st & 506th pins and a certificate of authenticity. A no-interest payment plan is available upon request.
